Rain interrupted play at Wimbledon on Thursday and with the exception of matches being played under the roof on Centre Court, play has been suspended for the day, according to Wimbledon's official Twitter account.

No. 1-seeded Novak Djokovic is currently playing American Bobby Reynolds on Centre Court, however, several other matches will be affected. David Ferrer and Roberto Batista Agut were set to play on Court 1 and hometown favorite Laura Robson was scheduled to take on Mariana Duque-Marino on Court 2.

Unless either of those matches are moved to Centre Court in a last-minute decision by Wimbledon officials, they will not occur until Friday. Since most of the matches were completed on Thursday, though, it isn't as if they'll be playing catch-up on Friday.

After a wild Wednesday that saw the likes of Roger Federer and Maria Sharapova upset as well as top players such as Victoria Azarenka and John Isner withdraw the tournament, things went by the book for the most part on Thursday.

Seeded players such as Juan Martin Del Potro, Agnieszka Radwanska, Serena Williams, Tomas Berdych, Li Na and a handful of others advanced. The only true upset saw Dutch upstart Igor Sijsling take out No. 17 Milos Raonic in straight sets.

While the Wimbledon courts will be covered and protected from the precipitation, it will be interesting to see if the poor weather persists and whether or not it affects on-court performance. The courts have been unusually slick, which has caused many players to struggle with their footing.

That will certainly be something to watch for as Wimbledon continues.
