UPDATE 5:50 p.m.

SPAIN wins 7-6 in Penalty Kicks. After zero goals in 120 minutes, Jesus Navas put in the 7th penalty to win the game after Bonucci hit the ball way over the bar. Spain will meet Brazil on Sunday afternoon.

The semifinals of the Confederations Cup start today at 3 p.m. ET on ESPN with an intriguing matchup between arguably the best team in the world — Spain, and a comparable Italian side.

Italy will look to take down the international powerhouse, but will have to do so without their star striker Mario Balotelli, who left the team with a torn hamstring.

However, Cesc Fabregas and Roberto Soldado are doubtful for the match due to muscle injuries. With David Villa and Fernando Torres likely taking their places, can Spain continue their dominance into the finals on Sunday?

Starting Lineups:

SPAIN: Iker Casillas - Pique, Sergio Ramos, Raul Arbeloa, David Alba, Sergio Busquets, Andres Iniesta, Xavi - David Silva, Pedro, Fernando Torres.

ITALY: Gianluigi Buffon - Christian Maggio, Giorgio Chiellini, Andrea Barzagli, Leonardo Bonucci - Antonio Candreva, Claudio Marchisio, Daniele De Rossi, Andrea Pirlo, Emanuele Giaccherini, Alberto Gilardino.
