Arizona Cardinals Rookie Receiver Robert Gill Clocks Blazing Speed on Treadmill

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Robert Gill could be the fastest 29-year-old in the NFL

The elderly rookie recently demonstrated his exhilarating speed without actually going anywhere, as he was filmed running 25 mph on a treadmill—a spectacle that looks like it was taken straight out of a cartoon.

Initially, he uses his right leg to gauge the speed of the track, in something of a revving-the-engine start. Then, he takes off—not literally—and his legs become a blur as he goes into a full sprint.

Frankly, I wasn't even aware treadmills went up to 25 mph, but apparently some do.

Gill has taken an unusual, journeyman route to the NFL. He labored through many ultimately unsuccessful tryouts in a variety of indoor football leagues and the CFL before landing on the Cardinals roster.

According to AZCardinals.com, Gill was clocked at 4.19 in the 40-yard dash by an indoor league offensive coordinator.

While that number may seem highly improbable, this insane highlight is sure to make plenty of us believers.
