Richard Howell is a 6'8" and 220 lbs. power forward from Marietta, Georgia and another Wolfpack recruit.

He attends Wheeler High School and is graded a 92 out of 100 on ESPN.

Howell is a good sized player and looks like he should be practicing for the football team instead of playing basketball.

His muscular build should not confuse anyone into thinking he lacks skills, because he is a very versatile forward.

He has the ability to step out of the paint, knock down a jump shot, and also bump and grind for the tough points in the paint.

He has a unique feel for the game and ball handling skills as a post player, which should make up for the fact that he doesn't have ideal height for the post or outstanding athleticism.

He has a very unique and crafty spin move that gets defenders on his back.

He also has range on his jumper if left unattended on the perimeter.

Howell has very good court vision, and when it is coupled with his passing skills, it allows him to play the high post on offense.

He has very solid footwork when he gets the ball on the low block, excelling with his back to the basket.
