As the Nationals officially placed Dan Haren on the disabled list with right shoulder inflammation, they recalled outfielder/first baseman Tyler Moore to take his roster spot, giving Moore another opportunity to prove himself in the majors. Since the Nationals decided to place him on the disabled list Sunday, Haren received an MRI. The test revealed no structural damage, as Haren expected, he said in an email. He received a cortisone shot to reduce inflammation and stiffness in his shoulder, and he plans to begin throwing again in a day or two.
