Joba Chamberlain's Mom: Your Friendly Neighborhood Meth Dealer
Joba Chamberlain isn’t exactly a saint on or off the baseball field.
On the field, the young right-handed Yankee’s pitcher is a notorious head-hunter with a testy temper, just ask Kevin Youkilis.
Off the field, Joba can be found driving under the influence of alcohol from time to time. Last October, Chamberlain was arrested in Nebraska for driving while drunk, eventually pleading guilty to the charge.
We’ve recently learned that it’s not Joba’s fault, it’s just in his DNA.
Jacqueline Standley, the 44-year-old mother of Joba, was arrested Monday and charged with delivery of an exceptionally hazardous drug. Jackie allegedly sold a gram of a substance that tested positive for meth to an undercover officer on February 11th for $110. Her bail was set at $5,000.
This is not an isolated incident. In 2003, after losing her house, she apparently blacked out on meth, pot, and alcohol for an entire week (although she says she only remembers the alcohol…yeah, right).
