On Wednesday night, we will officially be down to the final five.

The Oregon State Beavers were able to handily control the Louisville Cardinals, 11-4, to stay alive on Monday night, while the Indiana Hoosiers fell to the Mississippi State Bulldogs, 5-4, setting up a critical elimination matchup.

From a historical perspective, OSU and Indiana couldn't be coming from two different places.

Indiana, a school steeped in basketball tradition, is in the midst of its first ever College World Series appearance. In fact, the Hoosiers had never made it past the regional round before two weeks ago.

Simply put, Omaha is a foreign place for the boys from Bloomington

Oregon State, on the other hand, knows a little bit about having success there.

The Beavers haven't been to the College World Series since 2007, but they won back-to-back titles in 2006 and '07 and have been there five times now.

The makeup of the teams is vastly different, too.

Led by the gargantuan power bats of Kyle Schwarber and Sam Travis, Indiana is fueled by its dominant hitting and offensive prowess, where Oregon State is here on the backs of Matt Boyd, Andrew Moore and Ben Wetzler, one of the most dominant pitching trios in America.

All things considered, this is going to be a must-watch matchup.

Here's a look at everything you need to know to see it, while a complete CWS schedule can be found here

Who: Indiana vs. Oregon State

Where: TD Ameritrade Park Omaha, Omaha, Neb.

When: June 19, 8 p.m. ET

In a game as crucial at this, you have to go with the better starter.

Of course, it's hard to differentiate based simply on that, as the probables for Wednesday are Matt Boyd (2.18 ERA) for Oregon State and big Aaron Slegers (2.13 ERA) for Indiana.

Nevertheless, with All-American Michael Conforto heating up and going 6-for-8 in OSU's last two games, I'll give the slight advantage to the Beavers.

Oregon State moves on to face Mississippi State.

Oregon State 3, Indiana 2
