Player Profile: Tom Glavine

Chad CreelCorrespondent IApril 5, 2008

Tom Glavine led the Atlanta Braves to division title after division title, but then decided in 2003, when he became a free agent, to bolt for the New York Mets.

He was said to have family in New York, and I'm sure they were offering more cash, but in the end there is no place like home.

Glavine re-signed with the Atlanta Braves for the 2008 season. Glavine has 22 years of  Major League experience and is definitely on the downside of his career.

I expect him to hit the 12 to 14 win area this year and help the Braves out of the third spot in the rotation. Tom Glavine will always be considered an Atlanta Brave in my mind.
