The New York Mets will be well represented during 2013 MLB All-Star Game festivities, even if the league has to force other teams' players to wear their iconic colors.

ESPN's Darren Rovell tweeted the following image of what the players will be wearing when they take batting practice and launch long balls during the Home Run Derby.

If you weren't already prepared for a theme heavy on Mets regalia, you should start now. We are less than a month away from the best in baseball taking their places at Citi Field.

While there were those blogs like PastaPadre that thought uniforms with a Mets colorway might make their way into the main event, it looks like the peripherals surrounding the actual game will be the moment for players to don the blue and orange.

Of course, one of the biggest aspects of Rovell's report is that he offers a first look at these amazing Mets unis.

Well, not so much.

As was pointed out to Rovell, we have taken a gander at these before.

Mets Blog's Michael Baron touched on the jerseys last month and even referenced their similarity to those used in MLB 13: The Show.

If we are talking style, I am a big fan of the uniforms. The league has been known to infuse a little hometown love into the fashion surrounding the actual game.

Players wore light blue during the 2012 Home Run Derby at Kauffman Stadium, and they wore Diamondbacks-themed uniforms for the 2011 derby at Chase Field. The latest would follow that trend.

As for the Mets, they have two fantastic candidates to wear Mets gear during the actual game in David Wright and Matt Harvey.

The Mets may have a 25-39 record coming into Monday, but Wright is batting near .300 with nine home runs and an .880 OPS.

Harvey, for his part, has been one of the best pitchers in the majors with five wins and a 0.91 WHIP over 14 games started.

For a brief moment, baseball's best will be wearing Mets colors, which should give their fans a nice respite from an otherwise trying season.
