So, as the NBA playoffs are heating up the MVP league winner will be announced today or tomorrow.  The winner will be LeBron James which does not come as a surprise to many of us.

However, I do feel that the best player in the NBA this year was overlooked. Whenever you watch a televised NBA game, no matter which team plays, four quarters can not pass without the mention of LeBron James or Kobe Bryant

They are both stellar stars and have tremendous athletic ability. However, they also receive more media hype then any other player in the NBA.

The MVP consideration is a little vague because it is based on several components and some are not tangible enough to be judged by statistics.  However, this year I believe the choice was pretty easy and the NBA made the wrong choice.

Let me say this again LeBron James is an amazing player, but not the best player in the NBA. Kobe Bryant is good, but not as good as LeBron James and age along with wear and tear are starting to show on Kobe. He is also truly gifted but just slightly slower than before.

The real MVP, IS Dwayne Wade. I know what a lot of you are thinking "His team did not make it past the first round!" But the MVP is a season long journey and Wade is a better player than LeBron. Why might you ask, well not just because I'm a Miami Heat fan (because I am). But because he is the best player.

My rationale of facts:

He led the league in scoring (well pasy LeBron and Kobe) and he sat out with injuries.

He led the league in steals.

He made his team better, because without Wade the Heat would have never made it into the playoffs with a young team and limited talent.   Thus, he made his team better.

He is the most talented player in the world, don't believe me?  Just get blinded by his Olympic Gold Medal and MVP award and you will soon see.

So, why didn't he win?

Because the media does not mention Wade often; it's always Kobe and LeBron vomit all over the tube. So, basically the media brainwashed the choice that was made.  Hopefully individuals have enough common sense to see past the bad commentating and hype garbage which is built up.

But you be the judge, all I know is Dwyane Wade was mugged of his MVP award.  The NBA execs. should take a course with refs and try to learn the game of basketball before giving awards to those who have no basis for receiving it.

Now, why did LeBron win?

Just because he is popular, I did not realize that the NBA was a popularity contest, heck we should just give LeBron the championship ring, too.

Here is the truth: Wade is the best player in the league, LeBron comes in second and Kobe rounding third.

Let's not forget to mention that the reason the Cavs and Lakers are still in the mix is because they have a much better supporting cast then Miami (look up Jermaine O'Neal Knees for reference).

I could only hope that fans of the sport will realized the obvious and know that the MVP award is fixed.
