The Mets have to be the worst opening act for the rock band Foreigner since it toured with Uriah Heep – no relation to ex-Met Danny Heep – back in 1977. Shaun Marcum brought an end to a run of seven straight quality starts by the Mets as he was lit up Friday night for six runs in 5 2/3 innings in a 6-3 loss to the Chicago Cubs before 32,208 at Citi Field. He was touched for five runs in the first two innings. With the Mets' anemic offense already down five runs, the post-game concert became the big reason to stick around.
