Mickelson struggled through three bogeys on his first 17 holes and failed to get hot with the putter. Nevertheless, after his round Mickelson told Tom Rinaldi of ESPN he feels good about where his game is at. "It felt great, I wasn't expecting birdie there. I was just trying to make a par, that's a very difficult hole. I got shut out today. I actually played really well. The birdie opportunities, I didn't capitalize on."
