Destiny Always Overcomes Legacy

Before I write, I must say apologize if someone has already written a piece similar to this. This article is my take on Orton, Rhodes and DiBiase, and what their future holds one the Legacy indeed breaks up.
We all know that I am a Legacy lover, but we also know that all good (or bad for some people) things come to an end.
Legacy is a stable based on three guys who are second (Rhodes and DiBiase) and third (Orton) generation superstars. Randy Orton is the guy who thought of the group, and he wanted to make a name for younger guys who have potential in the business; mainly to step out of their father's shadow.
But what happens when it all goes down hill? What happens when Cody or Ted want to step into their own spotlight? What happens, when Destiny over comes Legacy?
After The Split: Cody Rhodes
Lets start with the least interesting prospect of Legacy, Cody Rhodes.
Rhodes hopped on the scene during Randy Orton's phase of "punting" Orton disrespected Randy Orton's dad during a backstage promo, so for Rhodes' first match, he wrestled Orton, and lost. This happened a couple more times, during which Dusty Rhodes got punted and I was growing on old Cody Rhodes.
After this rivalry, Rhodes won the tag titles with Hardcore Holly after having a short feud with him while gaining his respect in the process.
But he turned on Holly at Night Of Champions and joined Ted DiBiase to become tag champion with him.
So I wonder what would happen once Cody Rhodes leaves Legacy...?
Well for starters, Ted DiBiase will ask Rhodes if he thinks Orton his stealing the spotlight. Then good old Cody runs and tells Randy, and the voices in Randy's head tell him that Ted will weaken Orton's image. Maybe Jericho will tell him that he is a parasite.
So Randy Orton cuts a promo in the ring for Ted DiBiase. He says he will show him what happens to punk kids like him. How does he show him, by taking it out on Rhodes. A suprise RKO will turn into a stomp here, a stomp there. Cap it off with a punt, and Rhodes is out for 4 months.
Cody Rhodes comes back. He plays a face role with the still employed (WHY) Goldust, his older brother. Well they have their first tag match. And what happens, Cody turns on him. They go through a boring, tasteless feud and then the Royal Rumble hits.
Rhodes will make a good name for himself but he will still lose.
After that, the possibilities are endless. He could wind up challenging the Undertaker to a buried alive match for his streak. He could challenge DiBiase, who will be the current United States champion.
But what I think should happen, he should be in MITB. I already know what your thinking. Yuck! His mat skills are boring. He doesn't have what it takes. Whatever. Give him a chance and watch.
After The Split: Ted DiBiase Jr.
On to the favorite, Ted DiBiase. This kid has a bright future. A lot say he will branch off and become a face, since he will be in the second Marine movie.
But what will he do with that face phase? Hmm. Well, how about the second coming of Randy Orton's story. He will challenge Orton for the title and lose. The he will do some big things.
How about that U.S title. He could be a good contender for the belt. Give him some good opponents and we could see some goods things come out of DiBiase.
I can see him feud with guys like Miz, or... well are there any other midcard heels that don't suck? The Brian Kendrick indeed sucks. FIRE HIM. Maybe he could brawl with Festus. Or maybe even some rookies! In the end, he will blow in Royal Rumble, but get a good spot in the Elimination Chamber Match for RAW.
Anyway he will be a good, promising US champ, and the defend the title in style at Wrestlemania.
Although his path might be lame, expect good things from Ted. Hell maybe he could get his dad in the ring again.
After The Split: Randy Orton
Let us end things with the current WWE champion, Randy Orton. He his head honcho of Legacy.
Most people say that Randy Orton cannot win a match without Rhodes or DiBiase. But think about it. Wasn't Orton 3 time champ before he ran into Rhodes and DiBiase...?
So what will Randy Orton do after he drops Priceless??
My Guess:
Randy Orton will still be WWE champion. Of course with the split, he will most likely feud with Ted, who will think he has what it takes to beat him for the title.
However, Randy will step on whoever's dreams in order to be WWE champion. So he will continue his role as champion, and a certain opportunist comes around.
That is right, the beloved Edge. Edge will eventually pop back into the RAW scene, currently going through his face stage. Gee, I wonder how this can happen when he is on Smackdown...? Easy, he will win the Royal Rumble and choose to do battle with a guy who he once consider his compadre, Randy Orton.
It will be a modern day Triple H vs Shawn Michaels, kind of. Most of the world has forgotten the classic match at Vengeance 2004 where Edge beat Randy Orton to end his incredible run as Intercontinental champion. The same run that skyrocketed him to the World Heavyweight Championship and eventually being kicked out of Evolution.
They will have a barbaric, yet classic match at Wrestlemania 26. Now the winner, I will let you guys decide, but it will be the match of the decade. (Next to Undertaker and Shawn Michaels.)
Who Will Stand and Who Will Fade
Let's face it, Legacy will be in a thing int he past very soon. There are no signs of new members and they aren't making as good as an impact as other big time factions.
So will prosper the most?
Will it be super-heel wanna be Cody Rhodes?
The United States Champion Ted DiBiase?
Or will the Legend Killer create another historic run as champ?
Your guess is as good as mine. One thing for sure, lets hope the WWE does not screw this up.
