Vikings Offensive Coordinator Darrell Bevell and Brett Favre In Talks

The soap opera known as "Brett Favre" continues to put out re-runs time and time again.

The latest installment is an episode based on the contract talks between the Vikings' offensive guru and the veteran quarterback looking to come out of retirement, yet again.

I, quite frankly, am as sick of this, as all of you are. Don't get me wrong, I love the fact that Brett Favre could be a Viking, but does it have to go on for weeks and weeks like the last time?

Honestly, if Favre wants to be a Viking all it takes is a "yes" and Brett re-instating himself into the NFL again.

Favre is a 39 year old quarterback that is still looking to add yet another piece to his enormous ego. That missing piece is...another Super Bowl ring.

Can the Vikings be a legitimate contender for the championship with Favre at the helm? My gut tells me yes, but my heart tells me that I'm in over my head at the moment.

I believe that Favre thinks he's fooling us all when he says that he is once again done with the NFL.

Okay Brett, you keep telling us that. We will continue to act like you won't make a triumphant come-back for the second time.

Your first attempt with the Jets failed. In my opinion, the New York Jets were an average team at best that got lucky a time or two.

I don't want to disrespect Mr. Favre, he is a great player who will undoubtedly find his way into the NFL Hall-of-Fame. Brett is one of the top five quarterbacks of all-time, based on stats alone.

Can he still manage to bring his grade-A game to the Vikings franchise? Or will he be an interception-throwing nuisance.

Back to the crux of the matter. Brett Favre and Vikings offensive coordinator, Darrell Bevell are in talks of working out a deal to get Favre to be the starting quarterback for the Vikings.

Both of them talked last year when Favre wanted to be traded from Green Bay to Minnesota. They appear to have a great relationship with one-another.

It's only a matter-of-time before you turn on ESPN to see "Breaking News: Brett Favre signs deal with the Minnesota Vikings."

If you aren't expecting this to happen, please feel free to tell me what you think is going to happen.

Once again, the Brett Favre saga goes on.
