MLB's Greatest Father-Son Combos of All Time

Zachary D. Rymer@zachrymerMLB Lead WriterJune 12, 2013

During a game of catch, most fathers only get to say, "Maybe you'll play in the major leagues one day, son."

Then there are the fathers who can say, "Maybe you'll play in the major leagues one day, son. Just like your old man."

The history of Major League Baseball contains quite a few notable father-son duos. And with Father's Day just around the corner, B/R Pop Culture lead writer Gabe Zaldivar and I are ready to pay homage to the best of the best.

Covered in our countdown is the most powerful father-son duo baseball has ever known, arguably the most underrated duo and by far the most athletic duo. You'll have to watch the video to find out who they are, but let's just say that it's a good thing to be named Fielder, Alou, Griffey or Bonds.
