Tied at one game apiece, the NBA Finals headed to San Antonio for Game 3, where the Spurs would exact revenge against the Miami Heat, 113-77.
Role players would be the story in Game 3, as the Spurs' depth shined while the Heat struggled to get anything going offensively.
Gary Neal and Danny Green emerged as the leading scorers for San Antonio. Neal went for 24 points off the bench on 9-of-17 shooting from the field, including 6-of-10 from beyond the arc. Green one-upped that shooting display with a 7-of-9 three-point shooting spree and 9-of-15 performance overall for 27 points.
Tim Duncan and Tony Parker combined for just 18 points, as Parker was only able to log 27 minutes.
For the Heat, Mike Miller was the lone bright spot offensively or otherwise. He went a perfect 5-for-5 from the field, with all of his shots coming from long distance for 15 points. LeBron James was just 7-of-21, as he was held to 15 points and 10 rebounds.
Overall it was a night for the Heat to forget. The Spurs were unconscious from long range and shot 16-of-32 from three-point range, making a big statement at home.
