Alabama State Has 4 Teams Facing Postseason Bans Due to Academics

Alabama State's football, men's basketball, baseball and women's volleyball teams face Academic Progress Rate postseason bans for 2013-14, although the NCAA noted those teams' cases are still under review. The NCAA's annual APR release today shows those programs are ineligible for the postseason. It's not immediately clear what's pending with the NCAA for Alabama State, which said it would release a statement within an hour. Schools are permitted to seek waivers from the Committee on Academic Performance.
