Cincinnati Reds vs. Chicago Cubs: Live Matt Garza vs. Reds Rematch Reaction

NL Central rivals face off as the Cincinnati Reds visit the Chicago Cubs. Trouble could be brewing after Cubs pitcher Matt Garza created some bad blood after his last outing against the Reds.

Garza got knocked around by the Reds before his team rallied for an extra-innings victory, but his postgame comments grabbed the headlines.

This matchup was scheduled to be a rematch between Garza and Johnny Cueto, but rookie Tony Cingrani will replace the injured Cueto. With the Reds ace out, some of the intrigue is gone.

The Reds are in second place in the NL Central and can't afford to lose any players to injuries or suspensions. Logic says they won't be looking to start anything. On the other side, Garza may be looking to get revenge for the Reds knocking him out of the last game.

Chicago fell behind early but hung around for the first half of the game. A big sixth inning ended any hope the Cubs had of coming back.

As expected, nothing happened between Garza and the Reds.

Winning Pitcher: Tony Cingrani (3-0)

Losing Pitcher: Matt Garza (1-1)
