Monday night on Raw, fans were treated to a pay-per-view-quality match on free TV when Daniel Bryan and Seth Rollins went one-on-one.
This is the first singles match between the two in WWE, but these two have been wrestling each other for years, dating back to their days in Ring of Honor.
Both Bryan and Rollins are the kind of Superstars who can elevate anyone they get in the ring with, but when they face off against each other they bring each other to a whole new level.
Bryan and Rollins have faced off in several Six-man and Tag matches in the past, but this match was different. This match allowed them to show everyone why are two of the most talented performers in WWE.
This match had everything, and the fans in attendance were showing their appreciation with chants of "This is awesome" and "Daniel Bryan."
Counter after counter, submission hold after submission hold and kick after kick. Neither man could gain an edge for very long, but it was eventually Daniel Bryan who came out on top.
Randy Orton helped by keeping Roman Reigns from getting involved, allowing Bryan to get a well-earned victory over his long-time rival.
This is the kind of pairing that will go on to have a legendary feud that spans years.
Pairings like Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels, Steve Austin and The Rock and Dusty Rhodes and Ric Flair have all had legendary feuds spanning several years. Bryan and Rollins will become one of those feuds some day.
There is no way that the people in charge do not see the chemistry between the two after what we saw on Monday. If they don't, then we are all in trouble.
Eventually Rollins will break away from The Shield, and Bryan will separate from Kane. That is when a true singles feud between the two can happen.
They don't even need a title. They can steal any show they want with a simple singles match. But put a title in the mix and it becomes more credible because of these two men.
Call them Internet darlings all you want, call me a mark all you want, but take my word for it—this will be a world title feud within two years.
Bryan is already a former champion, and he is more popular now than when he won the title. Rollins is the one who will have to prove he is worthy of being in the title picture, and Bryan will help him get there.
Bryan has had four- and five-star matches with guys like CM Punk, Dolph Ziggler and Sheamus. Now we can add Seth Rollins to that list.
What do you think? Are Bryan and Rollins a future world title feud?
