Linebacker Zaire Franklin, a verbal commit to Syracuse last weekend, could end up a four-star recruit for the Orange by the time he shows up at SU, putting him in rare recruiting air. With a good high school season, he could become the first four-star linebacker to sign with SU out of high school since Rivals has been tracking players (2002), and he is the first four-star Rivals high school player to commit to Syracuse since 2008 (Marquis Spruill was a four-star commit in 2010 out of prep school).
