Chelsea is looking to make a move, and Zenit St. Petersburg and Brazil striker Hulk admitted that the Blues have contacted him about a possible transfer.

After John Cross of the Mirror reported on Wednesday that the team was interested in the striker, the Mirror's Darren Lewis reported late on Thursday that Hulk has confirmed that the initial report has some substance behind it.

If I said there wasn't anything in it, I would be lying. But that is not for now. At the moment, I am 100 per cent [sic] focused on Brazil and I hope to be a Confederations Cup winner with my country. Other matters will have to wait until afterwards.

So with his confirmation, rumours are going to continue to fly. The reported price for the striker is £35 million.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is a fan of the Brazilian striker, and he wants this transfer to happen. The team went after Hulk last year but was unsuccessful. Now it has a chance to get him for a lower price and is ready to act.

The 26-year-old would be a good addition to the Blues. He is a versatile player who can thrive in different parts of the field. He can attack from the left or go down the middle to make things happen.

His price would be steep for someone who struggled with Zenit St. Petersburg. He scored seven goals in 16 games with the team, and he has had issues with his current club. Those issues are now in the past, but he now has the chance to start fresh elsewhere.

Hulk has the chance to go to a team that wants him and offers him a chance to play in the English Premier League. A third-place finish has Chelsea wanting to make a big move.

Fans have mixed feelings about signing Hulk. He's a talented player, but his stock has dropped on and off the field since going over to Russia.

After having interest for a long time now, the Blues may finally be getting their man. It's an intriguing fit and could pay off for the team. Mourinho may now be able to get the most out of the striker after a long pursuit.

Nothing is official, and fans shouldn't expect much news until Hulk gets a break from playing. His focus is on helping Brazil win, and Chelsea may have to wait to sign him.

The news of Chelsea's interest isn't surprising, so Hulk's confirmation of talks may help the process along.
