Friday's second men's semifinal at the French Open marked a watershed moment for Spain's David Ferrer.

The 31-year-old reached his first-ever Grand Slam final with a straight set victory over France's own Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.

The No. 4 seed will now go on to face his countryman Rafael Nadal, the No. 3 seed, in the French Open final on Sunday.
