Friday's second men's semifinal at the French Open marked a watershed moment for Spain's David Ferrer.
The 31-year-old reached his first-ever Grand Slam final with a straight set victory over France's own Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.
The No. 4 seed will now go on to face his countryman Rafael Nadal, the No. 3 seed, in the French Open final on Sunday.
Ferrer defeats Tsonga: 6-1, 7-6 (7-3), 6-2
