Georges St-Pierre's official documentary, The DNA of GSP, isn't scheduled to hit the screen until this coming October. But if you simply can't wait to see the welterweight champ in front of the camera, don't fret, because NOS energy has come to the rescue.
You'll recognize NOS as the company that launched this advertisement, which as a mixed martial arts fan, you've probably seen somewhere between 500,000 to 100,000,000 times.
If this new ad—which is new because it wasn't here before—replaces the old (which it almost certainly won't), it will mark an act of magnificent mercy, the likes of which the world has never before known.
That's not to heap praise on the new commercial—though it did draw a pair of smirks out of me—it's just that if I see the original ad one more time......well, let's just say that something like my brain exploding is liable to happen.
But back to the ad.
It's another media coup for St-Pierre, who further cements his position atop the MMA icon ladder.
In addition to the new work for NOS and his aforementioned documentary on its way, St-Pierre can be found plugging 888 Poker 17,000 times a day and popping up in Gatorade commercials here and there, like this one.
Add in the recent release of his book The Way of the Fight, and it's a full blown media storm!
What comes next for the Canadian superstar remains to be seen, but he is expected to reprise his role as dominant mixed martial artist later this year when he welcomes Johny Hendricks to the championship scene.
No date has been set for the bout yet, but as you've likely surmised by this point, that doesn't mean St-Pierre will be in anyway absent from your life.
