Junior Illinois State guard Osiris Eldridge has decided to declare for the NBA draft. He has decided not to hire an agent. Osiris Eldridge was tied for fifth in the MVC in points per game (14.0), tied for seventh in the MVC in rebounds per Game (6.2), and tied for third in the MVC in steals (1.5).
Eldridge must withdraw from the draft by June 15, 10 days prior to the draft on June 25. Osiris has been named to the All-Conference First Team, his second time receiving this honor.
Eldridge was named MVC tournament most outstanding player in the three point loss to Northern Iowa. He was also named to the All-Defensive team for the MVC for the first time.
If Osiris enters the draft, he will be the fifth player leaving Illinois State this year. Starters Emmanuel Holloway and Champ Oguchi are leaving along with Brandon Sampay and Brandon Holtz.
Eldridge claims that he will probably return for his senior season, but would like to see what NBA scouts think about his game.
