Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

From May 30 and every day until September 5…the start of the 2013 NFL season…Sports Stats "on Tapp" will publish “99 Stats Until Kickoff” a daily dose of NFL stats that will get you ready for the 2013 NFL season.

Monday Night Football in 2013 begins its 44th season. Here are eight stats you need to know about the past 43 seasons of MNF.

Best winning percentage

The Seattle Seahawks have the best winning percentage on MNF games with a 19-8 record (.704 winning percentage). In addition to Seattle, only four other teams have a winning percentage of .600 or better on MNF: Indianapolis (.636), Pittsburgh (.635), San Francisco (.632) and Carolina (.600).

Worst winning percentage

The four worst MNF records: Atlanta (.294), Arizona (.295), Cincinnati (.310) and Houston (.333).

Consecutive years with at least one win on MNF (active)

The New England Patriots have the current longest streak of wins on MNF. The Pats have won at least one MNF in 11 straight seasons (they did not play on MNF in 2001). Following New England are San Diego and New Orleans, both of which have won at least one MNF game for seven straight seasons. The Bears have won a MNF game in five straight years.

Longest win drought (active) on MNF

The Buffalo Bills have the longest drought without a MNF win. The Bills have not won a MNF game since 1999. The St. Louis Rams are next on the list as they have not won on MNF since 2004. Both the Bills and Rams did not get a chance to end those streaks in 2012 as they were not scheduled for a MNF game.

Most consecutive years on MNF (active)

The Denver Broncos have the longest current streak of appearances on MNF with 21 consecutive years. The Green Bay Packers are right behind the Broncos with 20 straight years of MNF games.

Consecutive years with at least one loss on MNF (active)

Not only have the Broncos made an appearance on MNF for 21 straight years, but they also hold the current streak of consecutive years with a loss on MNF. Denver has lost at least one game on MNF in six straight seasons. The Broncos lost a MNF game in 2012 to the Falcons. The San Diego Chargers have a MNF loss in four consecutive years; they lost last season to Denver, 35-24, on MNF.

Most MNF wins

Four teams have won 40 or more games in the history of MNF: Dallas (43), San Francisco (43), Pittsburgh (40) and Miami (40).

Most MNF losses

Seven franchises have lost 30 or more games on MNF: Miami (38), Denver (36), Chicago (35), Washington (34), New York Giants (33), Dallas (32) and Green Bay (30). The Packers entered this group with their infamous loss to the Seattle Seahawks on MNF last season.
