In the final portion of our 1-on-1 "Beyond Linsanity" series, Jeremy Lin talks about his Chinese skills and of his favorite memories about Taiwan. Mandarin Chinese is a second language for Lin, who grew up in Palo Alto, California to parents of both Chinese and Taiwanese origins. As with any Asian American, learning Mandarin is a challenge. For all those who have watched Lin's interviews in the Chinese language, it is this Asian-American reporter's view that his Chinese comprehension level is actually pretty solid. The speaking part, the comfort level to freely converse, seems to be what Lin is working hard to improve.
