There's a bunch of women-focused countdowns on the site: hottest hockey wives, hottest cheerleaders, etc.

But they're all made by boys.

Here is a girl's choice for the Top 10 Hottest Female Athletes. They were carefully chosen and thought about by your own Bleacher Report writer, Jessica Reuter.

No. 10: Lauren Jackson

If you don't know of her already, Lauren Jackson is a professional basketball player from Australia.

She is a forward/center for the WNBA's Seattle Storm, the Australian national team, known as the Opals, and, until 2006, the Canberra Capitals of the Australian WNBL.

She's widely considered the best Australian female basketball player and one of the best players in the WNBA.

And she's pretty good-looking too.

Australia breeds some nice women.

No. 9: Gabrielle Reece

I have a Gabrielle Reece workout video, and I love it.

Not only is Reece extremely athletic (which is always a turn-on), but she's a gorgeous blonde with a gorgeous body.

You probably noticed her in the 2008 Summer Olympics.

Her height, I believe, is one of her strengths.

No. 8: Amanda Beard

There is debate as to whether Beard is hot or not.

In my opinion, there's no debate.

Despite all the attention given to Patrick for her looks, I still think she holds steady at this spot.

No. 6: Natalie Gulbis

Gulbis is a golfer who plays on the LPGA tour.

Her FHM pictures say it all.

No. 5: Anna Kournikova

Kournikova seems to spend more time with Enrique Iglesias (who would have ever thought that relationship would last?) and making celebrity appearances than playing tennis, but she's still a legend.

She's the athlete that made me start looking for hot female athletes.

Even though many gorgeous female athletes have come after her, Kournikova will always be a dominant sex symbol in the sports world.

No. 4: Ashley Force

This was the girl I was talking about on the Danica Patrick slide.

I know Danica's hot, but in my opinion, Ashley Force eclipses Patrick.

All I can say is, go motorsports!

No. 3 Sasha Cohen

Besides the split picture, the thing I love most about Sasha Cohen (not to be confused with Sacha Baron Cohen) is her girl-next-door look.

That look puts her at No. 3.

No. 2: Heather Mitts

Holy Heather Mitts! USA Women's Soccer definitely has a babe on their hands.

No. 1: Maria Sharapova

No. 1 for me was undoubtedly Maria Sharapova. If the picture doesn't say it alone, her beautiful looks, body, and blonde hair puts her at the forefront of the hottest female athletes.

Coupled with the fact that she's only 22, Sharapova will be gracing our computer screens for years to come.
