Manchester United is always looking to add the best players in the world to its roster. The club will have a great opportunity to do that with Cesc Fabregas possibly becoming available.

The talented midfielder is pondering his future with Barcelona after the club acquired Neymar on a five-year deal. According to Rob Draper of the Daily Mail, this could be enough to force Fabregas out of town:

Cesc Fabregas will meet Barcelona manager Tito Vilanova this week for talks about his future, with Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea all interested in signing him.

Fabregas would prefer to stay at the Nou Camp but he will seek reassurances about his role.

It is hard to imagine a manager telling an experienced veteran and one of the best players in the world at his position that he does not have a role on the club. However, Fabregas is clearly uncertain about next season and should consider a move to the English Premier League.

Of course, it is no secret that David Moyes is interested in bringing Fabregas aboard. John Edwards of the Daily Mail reported last week that he is the club's No. 1 target for the summer and that it would cost around £25 million.

Considering that Manchester United has a transfer budget of £60 million that could end up being as high as £80 million, this is certainly worth the cost and then some (via Steve Bates of Mirror Football).

The Old Trafford club recently finished a solid season that ended with an EPL title. However, the squad could not compete in the Champions League and suffered an early exit. To make matters worse, Wayne Rooney has asked for a transfer and could be on his way out.

As strong as this roster is, it will not be able to remain at the same level without Rooney if it does not replace him with another talented player.

Fabregas is as good as they come in the midfield due to his superb vision and elite passing ability. He finished fourth in La Liga with 11 assists and was a reason why Barcelona was able to hold a possession advantage in virtually every match.

However, the Spanish club now has a couple of world-class forwards to go with Andres Iniesta, Xavi and others in the midfield. It might be time to go to a place where his role will be guaranteed and his effort will be more appreciated.

With Manchester United, he could be the point man of every attack and will be able to find Robin van Persie and others up front for a number of goals. The club led the league with 86 goals this year, but that number can jump to over 100 next season with the addition of the midfielder.

The club has money to spend and would instantly become one of the top contenders in the world if it were to add Fabregas. He is looking for a place where his role could be guaranteed.

This would be a perfect fit for everyone involved.
