The Funniest Thing Ron Artest Ever Said
Ron Artest showed extreme hustle last night. With 1:30 left in the game, and Houston pretty much having this one locked up, Artest dove into the stands after a loose ball.
No turnover due to hustle.
Asked about it after the game, Artest said he was setting an example for younger players.
"I don't think they understood how important a turnover was, how important it was not to turn the ball over," Artest said. "Every possession counts. Reggie Miller told me that when I was in Indiana, and I just try to...pass it on to the young fellas."
Another reporter asked about his "off-court" appearance after the game. Are you ready for it?
Artest responded: "I've been in the stands before."
After laughter filled the room, Artest added, "but this time at home court." I love Artest.
Could the Rockets get rid of Tracy McGrady, and keep Artest? That would be much better I think.
