Rolling Stones' Mick Jagger Is Now Making 'Old Jokes' About Rickety LA Lakers

Even the elderly are making old jokes about the Los Angeles Lakers.

Yahoo! Sports spotted a gem of a quote in an in-depth review of the Rolling Stones' current "50 and Counting" tour by Edna Gundersen of USA Today.

Performing 23 songs over 2.5 hours before an all-ages capacity crowd, the Stones simply ripped the joint.

"The only reason we're here is to make the Lakers look younger," Mick Jagger joked midway through an athletic marathon that would humble Kobe Bryant.

At 69, Mick Jagger and his crew are still selling out massive venues and ripping younger men, which sort of puts those aches and pains you feel Monday morning into perspective.

Of course, Mike D'Antoni wasn't really running an NBA version of a sleepy retirement home; it only seemed that way, as the Lakers were actually the fourth-oldest team in the 2012-13 season.

With that said, they dealt with an immense number of injuries. From Kobe Bryant to Jordan Hill, no starter or bench player was immune to the injury bug, which was hardly helped by the uptempo system D'Antoni ran in the earlier portions of the season.

The Lakers may not be Betty White or Abe Vigoda old, but they certainly have a great deal of miles on those legs.

Gundersen did a remarkable job breaking down the older Rolling Stones as they continue to play the classics, complete with a set list and pricing guide. Let's do the same for the creaky Lakers if they do indeed come back with a similar cast next year.

Average cost range for seats from ticket agencies: between $270 and $323, via the Los Angeles Times. Now, onto our "set list."

Even I, a purple-and-gold geek, understand the Lakers are hardly the young crew that can run and gun with the best of them.

The question is, how old are these guys, really?

Well, they are old enough for Jagger to have taken notice, which is pretty darn old.
