Kobe Bryant and the Lakers were able to defeat the Utah Jazz in five games after a 107-96 win on Monday night.

The Lakers will now move on to play either the Houston Rockets, against whom they went 4-0 this season, or the Portland Trailblazers, against whom they went 2-2.

The Rockets lead that series 3-2 and will play Game 6 in tonight in Houston.

During their first-round series against Utah, the Lakers were stripped down and showed a very dangerous weakness. Throughout the series, the Lakers led by at least 20 points in all of their games but ended up having that lead widdled down by the end of every game.

In one case, it resulted in a two-point loss.

The Lakers also have their strong points, however, with a team full of chemistry and stars. No matter who the Lakers face in round two of the NBA Playoffs, fans and analysts seem to think they will come out on top.
