Antti Niemi had allowed just seven goals in the first three games of the Western Conference semifinal series, and the Los Angeles Kings felt they needed to test the Sharks goalie with more regularity. That didn't happen in the first period of Game 4 on Tuesday at HP Pavilion, as Niemi faced just three shots. Entering Tuesday, Niemi had faced 78 shots, compared with the 106 shots Kings goalie Jonathan Quick had faced. "I think we can do more. I don't think we've tested Niemi enough this series," Kings defenseman Drew Doughty said Tuesday morning. "I can't even really recall a big save he made. So we definitely need to get more pucks and people in front of the net so he can't see it."
