The 2013 NBA playoffs resumed on Tuesday, May 21, as the San Antonio Spurs hosted the Memphis Grizzlies in Game 2 of their Western Conference Finals series.
The Spurs entered this game with a 1-0 series lead after dominating Game 1 by a score of 103-85. This time around, it wasn't quite so easy, as the Grizzlies stormed back from 18 points down to force the first overtime of this series.
So how did it all transpire?
Tony Parker overcame a poor shooting night to go for 15 points, 18 assists, five rebounds and three steals. Tim Duncan added 17 points, nine rebounds and four blocks, while Kawhi Leonard tallied 12 points and nine boards.
Even Tiago Splitter added 14 points.
For Memphis, Mike Conley and Jerryd Bayless led all scorers with 18 points apiece. Zach Randolph rebounded from a poor Game 1 by dropping 15 points and 18 rebounds, while Marc Gasol added 12 points, 14 rebounds, four assists and two blocks.
Tony Allen added eight points, eight rebounds, three assists and two steals to help lead the comeback.
The question is, was Memphis' comeback effort strong enough to result in an overtime victory? Or were the Spurs able to survive and take a 2-0 series lead?
