A day after their first long-term injury of the season, the Giants made a couple of moves to get through the days ahead. Right-handers Ryan Vogelsong and Santiago Casilla were placed on the disabled list and right-hander Sandy Rosario and first baseman Brett Pill were recalled from Triple-A Fresno. Vogelsong is scheduled to undergo surgery Wednesday after fracturing a finger on his throwing hand. Casilla has made just two appearances since May 8 because of a cyst in his knee, and has been trying to get through the injury by wearing a heavy knee brace. Clearly, Casilla hasn't been right … as one could tell from the fact that he pitched once on the road trip despite being cleared before the Giants arrived in Atlanta.
