Fitzgerald Going to the Vikings? Will He Make an Impact?

You had better believe it...Fitzgerald is going to the Vikings!

Yes, Marcus Fitzgerald is going to the Minnesota Vikings to compete in the team's rookie mini-camp this weekend.

Fitzgerald is the younger brother to former Minnesota Vikings water-boy, Larry Fitzgerald.

Marcus wasn't a great player at Marshall, but he still made an impact nonetheless.

In his freshman season, Marcus caught 12 passes for a total of 146 yards. The next season he 41 catches for 448 yards, and two touchdowns.

Fitzgerald is a 24-year-old with aspiring dreams. Will he be able to live up to them with the Vikings?

In my opinion, Marcus likely won't make the team due to the fact that the Vikings are already loaded with wide receivers.

Marcus Fitzgerald will likely end up on the Vikings practice squad for the entire 2009-2010 season. This will give him a chance to increase his skills for the next season.

This isn't big news, but it is news never-the-less. Any new member to the Vikings should be appreciated, even if there skills aren't that of an Adrian Peterson or Bernard Berrian.
