The Marlins signed veteran reliever Jon Rauch to a one-year, $1 million contract over the winter, but he has been designated for assignment after making just 15 appearances with the club. Duane Below has been called up from Triple-A New Orleans to replace him on the active roster. Rauch has really struggled in the early part of the season, posting a 7.56 ERA in 16 2/3 innings to go along with a 15/7 K/BB ratio. The 34-year-old gave up two runs on four hits and a walk over one inning of work in last night's loss to the Diamondbacks.
