Chelsea vs. Everton: Premier League Live Score, Highlights, Recap
Stamford Bridge—London, England.
Chelsea 2-1 Everton
Chelsea rounded off a long, hard season with a home win over Everton.
Juan Mata gave the Blues the lead after Tim Howard spilled Demba Ba's shot as early as the seventh minute, but Steven Naismith equalised after stealing the ball off of David Luiz's toe.
Everton were by far the better side across the opening 45 minutes, but after the break Rafa Benitez's boys came out swinging.
They battered the Toffees' goal with shot after shot and eventually found the breakthrough: Fernando Torres with a laced finish from close range.

Rafa Benitez and David Moyes depart their respective sides on the back of a scintillating game of football!
92'—A cross falls to Heitinga at the back post and he fires well over after a poor connection. This one is all set for the final whistle.
Three minutes added on
Fellaini fires well over.
Oscar off, Ferreira on. It's a goodbye to the Portuguese.
85'—Jelavic comes very close to finding an equaliser, forcing a stunning save from Cech.
Juan Mata off, Cesar Azpilicueta on.
81'—Jelavic collects a deflected shot from Pienaar in the box and the Croatian's shot is awful. Straight at Cech.
More on the goal
Oscar fires a decent cross in from the right and it finds Moses in space in the box.
He cushions a header down for Torres rather than shoot, and the Spaniard lashes it in at the near post from close range. Impressive, and that's a 19-and-a-half hour goal drought ended.
73'—BIG CHANCE MISSED!
Cross field ball gets Baines in behind Ivanovic, he fizzes it across goal and Jelavic slides in at the back post...and misses. Wow.
68'—Jelavic with an almost-instant impact.
Gets in front of Luiz to head a cross goalward but it lacked power.
Moses on, Ba off.
Ba has been really disappointing.
Naismith off, Jelavic on.
Anichebe off, Heitinga on.
65'—It just won't fall for Chelsea. Another chance, this time Juan Mata can't get a shot away from 7 yards.
61'—We've calmed down a little at the Bridge.
The opening 15 minutes have been all Chelsea and they will feel like they should have scored three now.
58'—A Luiz free kick is blocked and chaos ensues in the box. Ivanovic's low cross is scuffed clear.
56'—Pienaar pinches the ball off Oscar, travels 50 yards and trips over on the edge of the box!
55'—Now Ba misses! Reckless giveaway by Jagielka on the edge of his own box. Distin blocks a goalbound shot from 18 yards!
HOW DID HE MISS?
A corner falls to Ivanovic on the penalty spot and, with time to set himself, fires it MILES wide!
52'—Early ball in from the left sees Ba in a position to shoot, but Distin gets a really good block in!
49'—Chelsea win another corner after Everton defend a high ball very poorly. The Blues scupper it and an Everton counter ends in Fellaini's shot comfortably collected by Cech.
47'—Chelsea win their first corner, it falls to Cahill and Howard saves well.
KO—2nd half underway! No changes
The sides go in level but, in all honesty, Everton have been far and away the better side.
Anichebe is dominating Chelsea's back line and the Toffees are using their strong left side on a consistent basis to good effect: all that's missing is a second goal.
Benitez has a lot to do here, Moyes will be very, very happy.
