Wes Helms was traded to the Florida Marlins for cash considerations or a player to be named later.
Helms was designated for assignment on Wednesday to make room for Rudy Seanez. Helms played for the Marlins in 2006 before being signed by the Phillies as a free agent prior to the 2007 season.

I don't know what the Fish are going to be giving up (if anything other than cash) for him, so it looks like it could be a win-win deal for both teams involved.
