UFC on FX 8 Start Time: When and Where to Watch Belfort vs. Rockhold

UFC on FX 8 will go live from Arena Jaragua in Brazil on Saturday, May 18. The card will feature a total of 13 contests, but headlining the show will be a middleweight affair between title contenders Vitor Belfort and Luke Rockhold.

The main event marks Rockhold's first action inside the Octagon and his first step towards a UFC title shot.

Rockhold is not the only high profile Strikeforce import debuting at UFC on FX 8. He will be joined by Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza, who will take on Chris Camozzi in the night's co-main event.

The remainder of the card mostly features fighters from the lighter weight classes. In fact, nine of its 13 bouts will be contested by fighters 170 pounds or less.

Facebook prelims

Three Facebook battles will set the stage for UFC on FX 8. As is always the case, this portion of the broadcast will feature combatants who are not too close to a title shot.

There are, however, some compelling matchups here that may very well be some of the evenings most entertaining action.

Fights on the Facebook portion of UFC on FX 8 include:

• John Lineker vs. Azamat Gashimov
• Jussier Formiga vs. Chris Cariaso
• Lucas Martins vs. Jeremy Larsen

The first of the Facebook fights will begin at 4:35 p.m. ET.

Fuel TV prelims

The second tier of UFC on FX 8 will shift the broadcast from the computer to the television with six matches on Fuel TV. In Canada, you will be able to watch on Sportsnet ONE.

Fights on the Fuel TV portion of the event include:

• Francisco Trinaldo vs. Mike Rio
• Gleison Tibau vs. John Cholish
• Yuri Alcantara vs. Iliarde Santos

The Fuel TV fights will kick off at 6 p.m. ET.

UFC on FX 8 Main Card

The night's main card will host a quartet of intriguing clashes, three of which will go from the middleweight division. There is also a UFC vs. Strikeforce dynamic with the headliner and co-main events each pitting a UFC vet against a Strikeforce import.
