Manchester United are interested in signing midfielder Cesc Fabregas from Barcelona, according to the London Evening Standard.
Fabregas, 26, joined Barcelona from Arsenal in 2011. He has made 29 appearances in La Liga this season, scoring 10 goals and recording 11 assists.
Barcelona reportedly still owe Arsenal £5 million from the 2011 transfer and value Cesc around £20 million. Arsenal reportedly have first option to buy him back.
Higuain, 25, has scored 14 league goals in 26 matches (19 starts) this season while sharing playing time in the Real lineup with Karim Benzema.
According to the report, a five-year deal is in place, but it depends on Arsenal qualifying for next season's Champions League.
Manchester City sacked manager Roberto Mancini late Monday, with assistant Brian Kidd taking control for the final two matches of the season (via MCFC.com).
Malaga's Manuel Pellegrini is the favorite for the full-time job. The Independent reports that City must trigger a £3.3 million release clause in Pellegrini's contract.
Borussia Dortmund have targeted Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke as a potential replacement for Robert Lewandowski, according to the Daily Mail.
Benteke, 22, joined Villa last summer in a £7 million transfer from Genk. He has scored 19 league goals in his debut season in the Premier League.
Lewandowski, 24, has been linked heavily with a move away from Dortmund. Bayern Munich are thought to be interested.
Villa reportedly value Benteke around £20 million.
Manchester City are considering a move for Bayern Munich's Dutch winger Arjen Robben (via Daily Mail). Robben, 29, is thought to be available for £12 million.
Robben joined Bayern from Real Madrid in 2007. He previously played for Chelsea in the Premier League from 2004-07.
Incoming Bayern manager Pep Guardiola reportedly does not see Robben in his plans.
