Henrik Lundqvist had his second straight shutout, and the New York Rangers have defeated the Washington Capitals in Game 7. Ryan Callahan scored right as the third began, opening up a four-goal margin for the Rangers. Mats Zuccarello made it an impossible mountain for the Caps by scoring about seven minutes into the third.
Lundqvist was called on early and often in this game, and he delivered an outstanding performance for the Blue Shirts. Rick Nash was silent again, but the depth guys stepped up for the Rangers.
Alexander Ovechkin came up empty once again, being held pointless through the final five games of this series.
