Manny Ramirez Provides Adorably Awful Slide in Taiwanese Baseball Game

There is something so refreshing about seeing Manny Ramirez mess up playing baseball.

It means the world is operating in perfect harmony. So we thank Busted Coverage for spotting the latest moment of Ramirez's Taiwanese baseball excursion that demands your attention.

The play comes in the top of the sixth inning when one of Ramirez's teammates hits a ground ball that could turn into a double play.

Manny, being Manny, heads to second and decides to slide about 10 minutes before he really should have. That's when the shortstop comes over and tags the former MLB star out.

Busted Coverage credits Ramirez for sliding before the bag, because it forced the shortstop to tag him and kept his team out of a double play. I like that narrative far better than the truth.

In reality, the first baseman should've made a better throw so the shortstop could have tagged second base.

But I will go with ManRam conscientiously sliding well before he should.

Why? We may never know, but we must have faith that Ramirez has his reasons and they are as brilliant as the actions themselves.

Unfortunately, I have no idea what the announcers are saying, but it sounds like admiration for the way this guy plays the game is universal.
