The final day of the 2012/13 season will be an anxious time for some teams and a non-event for others.

Both Liverpool and Queens Park Rangers fall into the non-event category, as both are already assured their positions for the season.

No result can drop or raise Liverpool from seventh position, while Queens Park Rangers have been relegated for a few weeks now.

The result of this game won't have an effect on the fortune of any other teams, but both sets of fans will want their sides to end on a high note.

The last time these teams met, Liverpool ran out 3-0 winners.

Here is a complete preview of the match with the latest team news and projected lineups.

Liverpool Team and Injury News

For the second straight season, Liverpool have finished behind their rivals Everton. Luis Suarez's form was a bright spot during the season, but there is plenty of rebuilding still to do for next season.

The Reds have won two and drawn three of their last five Premier League games. Their overall record for the season stands at 15 wins, 13 draws and nine losses.

A finale win at home would a great way to finish off a rather disappointing season for the side.

Brendan Rodgers will have to continue without Luis Suarez and a number of first-team players, though Martin Skrtel and Raheem Sterling may return, according to Fantasy Football Scout.

Liverpool Projected Lineup (4-2-3-1): Pepe Reina; Andre Wisdom, Sebastian Coates, Jamie Carragher, Glen Johnson; Lucas Leiva, Jordan Henderson; Stewart Downing, Jonjo Shelvey, Philippe Coutinho; Daniel Sturridge

Queens Park Rangers Team and Injury News

After just surviving the drop last season, QPR played out a disastrous 2012/13 campaign to return to the Championship just two seasons after being promoted.

The Hoops have drawn one and lost four of their last five Premier League games. Their overall record for the season stands at four wins, 13 draws and 20 losses.

Given their recent form, a positive result isn't on the cards for this QPR side. The distraction of Loic Remy's arrest, reported in this ESPN article, won't help the situation either.

Aside from Loic Remy, QPR manager Harry Redknapp still has to deal without the likes of Shaun Wright-Philips and DJ Campbell, though Julio Cesar and Christopher Samba may return, according to Fantasy Football Scout.

Queens Park Rangers Projected Lineup (4-2-3-1): Julio Cesar; Jose Boswinga, Nedum Onuoha, Clint Hill, Armand Traore; Stephane Mbia, Jermaine Jenas; Andros Townsend, Adel Taarabt, Junior Hoilett; Bobby Zamora

Players to Watch

Liverpool: Daniel Sturridge

Daniel Sturridge has been in great form since joining Liverpool in the January transfer window. With Luis Suarez gone, he's stepped up to the plate even more with six goals in his last four games.

Sturridge has shown that the future is looking pretty good for the Reds, as they now have someone else to share the scoring burden. He'll want to end the season on a high.

Queens Park Rangers: Andros Townsend

Andros Townsend has been a solid loan addition for Queens Park Rangers.

The Tottenham player may not have been expected, or able, to turn around the London club's fortunes, but he's acquitted himself well.

He has one last game to give Andre Villas-Boas food for thought, and an away game against Liverpool is a good opportunity to prove himself further.
