Hanrahan to Undergo Season-Ending Surgery
BOSTON -- The brief Red Sox career of Joel Hanrahan might already be over.
A visit to orthopedic surgeon James Andrews confirmed for Hanrahan that the flexor tendon in his right forearm has torn off the bone and will require season-ending surgery. He'll undergo a procedure next week and begin the rehabilitation process after that. How long it takes to get back depends on what Andrews finds in his arm when he begins the operation.
