Are you ready for some college basketball?
Yes, the champion of the NCAA was just crowned a month ago, but it’s never too early to look ahead to the upcoming season. It is especially fun when you can look forward to the great Big Ten/ACC Challenge.
The B1G/ACC Challenge schedule was released Wednesday and features many great matchups, including three rematches from 2012: Florida State vs. Minnesota, Illinois vs. Georgia Tech and Wisconsin vs. Virginia.
The tournament tussle brings about 12 games over two nights and has some very compelling matchups on the schedule in 2013. Highlights from the first day of action are Indiana vs. Syracuse and Michigan vs. Duke, while North Carolina vs. Michigan State and Wisconsin vs. Virginia are the marquee matchups of day two.
Three ACC teams have to sit out the Challenge this year due to conference expansion. The teams drawing the short straws this season are Wake Forest, Clemson and Virginia Tech.
Just as a reminder, the ACC brings Syracuse, Pittsburgh and Notre Dame into the conference this season. On the other hand, this will be Maryland’s last season as a member of the ACC before flipping to the B1G side in 2014.
