NEW YORK -- At this point, the White Sox need hitters a lot more than they need pitchers. Still, it's good news (and not totally expected) that John Danks is on his way back. Danks was the White Sox's opening day starter in 2012, but he didn't pitch after the middle of May and had shoulder surgery in early June. He pitched for the White Sox in spring training but didn't look close to being ready to appear in a game that counted.
