Alabama has added the biggest fish in the class of 2014. The nation's top overall prospect, West Monroe, La. offensive tackle Cameron Robinson, selected the Crimson Tide over LSU at a ceremony at his high school which was broadcast by ESPN U.
The 6'5", 330-pound Robinson is Alabama's 20th pledge and virtually cements the Tide's standing as the nation's top recruiting class. He is also the sixth offensive lineman in the class, and he could theoretically be in line to replace All-American left tackle Cyrus Kouandjio should he turn pro following the season.
Saturday, August 24
On the opening weekend for most high school football programs, Alabama continued its hot streak on the recruiting trail by adding a pledge from 4-star wide receiver Cameron Sims, according to Andrew Bone of Rivals via Twitter:

The 6'4", 198-pound Town is ranked as the No. 3 player in the class of 2015, according to 247 Sports, and he chose Alabama over offers from Stanford, Georgia, Texas, Miami and a host of others.

247 Sports updated its 2014 class rankings yesterday, and several Alabama targets and commits saw their rankings shift.
You can check where all of the Tide's commitments rank here.
Of note, athlete Bo Scarbrough and quarterback David Cornwell each lost their coveted 5-star rating. Scarbrough dropped 15 spots and is now ranked as the No. 39 prospect in the country. Cornwell fell 33 spots from No. 20 and now checks in as the No. 53 overall prospect in this cycle.
Risers from the Tide's class include guard Viane Talamaivao (up 46 spots, No. 103 overall), linebacker Zach Whitley (up 41 spots, No. 107 overall), center J.C. Hassenauer (up a whopping 565 spots, No. 123 overall and rated as nation's top center prospect), corner Stephen Roberts (up 14 spots, No. 174 overall), defensive tackle Johnny Dwight (up three spots, No. 184 overall) and linebacker Shaun Hamilton (up two spots, No. 229 overall).
Another big development is the rise of top offensive line target Cameron Robinson to the No. 1 spot in the recruiting class of 2014. The Louisiana product, who is down to Alabama and LSU, replaces defensive end Da'Shawn Hand (who fell to No. 6 overall).
Even with some major shifts, Alabama still holds the top spot in the class rankings.
Wednesday, July 10
Alabama's streak of pulling in top offensive linemen in the recruiting class of 2014 ended earlier today when 4-star guard Roderick Taylor spurned the Tide in favor of Ole Miss, according to ESPN's Greg Ostendorf via Twitter.
Taylor's pledge to the Rebels was not a shock, but Alabama did finish second in the race for the Jackson, Miss. product.
The Tide still have commitments from a pair of guards in Viane Talamaivao and Montel McBride (who could also potentially play defensive tackle), and they remain in the hunt for 4-star guards Braden Smith and Damien Mama.
Tuesday, July 2
Alabama is continuing to beef up its offensive line, and the Crimson Tide have added another big-time commitment from a rising guard prospect.
Montel McBride, who is participating in The Opening camp at Nike headquarters in Oregon this week, has committed to Alabama, according to Keith Niebuhr of 247 Sports via Twitter.

Offensive line is one of Alabama's biggest needs in the 2014 cycle, and Nick Saban and his staff continue to strike it rich in their pursuit of some of the country's top players in the trenches.
The 6'7", 304-pounder, who was previously committed to UCLA, is ranked as the nation's top JUCO offensive tackle prospect, according to 247 Sports Composite ratings.

Sunday, June 16
The 6'5", 197-pounder chose Alabama over Ohio State and Kentucky amongst others.
His commitment comes after he visited Tuscaloosa last week. Alabama now has nabbed commits from eight different states, which continues a theme of Nick Saban and his staff branching out nationally to find top talent.
Saturday, June 15
Alabama's second summer camp session, which takes places this weekend, will strictly focus on the offensive and defensive lines.
According to Matt Scalici of AL.com, top-flight recruits such as defensive end Solomon Thomas, defensive tackle Josh Frazier and offensive guard Roderick Taylor are some of the names expected to work out today.
The recruiting board at these positions should gain a little more clarity after some of the nation's top prospects in the trenches put their best foot forward in Tuscaloosa this weekend.
Friday, June 14
One of the biggest mysteries of Alabama's 2014 recruiting class is which one of a handful of quarterback targets would earn a coveted committable offer.
Park committed to Georgia today, according to ESPN DawgNation's Twitter account.
Shortly thereafter, Cornwell announced his commitment to Alabama via his Twitter account.
The 6'5", 230-pound Oklahoma native is rated as the nation's top passer, per 247 Sports.
He becomes Alabama's 11th pledge in the 2014 class.
Sunday, June 9
With punter Cody Mandell heading into his senior season, Alabama's 2014 class has a need to fill in finding his eventual successor.
Nick Saban is likely to cross that need off his list after Denver, Colo. (Mullen HS) kicker JK Scott committed to Alabama earlier today.
Scott is ranked as a 3-star specialist and the nation's top kicker by 247 Sports Composite Rankings.
Scott chose Alabama over offers from Notre Dame, Arizona and Colorado.
He becomes the 10th commitment in the Tide's 2014 class.

Alabama is continuing to increase its influence with top prospects on the West Coast, with its latest offer coming to 4-star Imperial, Calif. running back Royce Freeman, according to Adam Gorney of Rivals via Twitter.
The 5'11", 215-pound Freeman is currently high on Oregon, UCLA and USC.
Check out these highlights of Freeman in action.

Recruiting is a battleground that usually stokes the flames between rival schools when they are fighting over a recruit. Sometimes, recruits themselves are responsible for sparking controversy with their actions during the recruiting process.
The latter element may come into play with 4-star Notre Dame athlete commitment Elijah Hood.
Via his Twitter account, Hood posted a video of himself looking at a pile of mail sent by Alabama, and then flushing it down the toilet.
There are lot of ways Hood could have expressed that he isn't interested in the Tide, but something tells me that nothing good will come of the way he chose to convey that message in this particular instance.

With Nick Saban's first summer camp session underway, there figured to be some shuffling on the Tide's 2014 recruiting board after seeing several top targets in action.
One player who may have played his way into the class is Rochelle, Ga. (Wilcox County HS) 3-star defensive tackle Johnny Dwight.
According to Andrew Bone of Rivals via Twitter, Dwight has become Alabama's ninth commitment for the 2014 class.

Andrew Bone of Rivals is once again reporting that Talamaivao has confirmed that he has indeed pulled the trigger and committed to Alabama, via Bone's Twitter account.
Assuming this pledge sticks, Talamaivao will be Alabama's eighth commitment of the 2014 cycle.
The 6'3", 310-pounder is rated as a 4-star recruit and the No. 120 player in the country, per 247 Sports Composite Rankings. Talamaivao chose the Tide over offers from USC, UCLA, Wisconsin and Washington, amongst others.
