On Saturday April 25th the Seahawks selected Aaron Curry with their first round draft pick. On Sunday April 26th they removed the franchise tag from Leroy Hill. This makes Hill a free agent.

GM Tim Ruskell on Saturday said that the Seahawks were still pursuing a long term deal with Hill. This Sunday it was confirmed that the former Clemson stud was no longer franchise tagged and able to negotiate contracts with other teams.

This is where the New Orleans Saints could come into play. This draft weekend the Saints did draft a linebacker, but no one really seems to have heard much about him. No one should question the Saints scouts in there ability to find hidden gems in the draft, but how could the New Orleans pass on a player like Hill.

He has played, and was a major contributor, on a Super Bowl team. This player is still young and would be great with Fujita and Vilma. New Orleans needs to go after this player as he would make that front seven a complete wrecking ball.

One of the only reasons New Orleans could pass on him would be his off the field issues. He has been caught with narcotics once before.

The Saints have shown major signs off life this off-season on the defensive side of the football. So it might not be long until fans of the Saints see this man dressed in black and gold.
