After drawing at home to Liverpool, it appears that Arsenal’s title hopes are slipping away. A 3-2 comeback win against Bolton last weekend gave the Gunners a glimmer of hope in pursuit of their first Premier League trophy in four years, but after failing to beat Liverpool at home for the second time in a week, it means Arsenal now lie five points adrift of leaders Manchester United.
Peter Crouch had given the visitors the lead in the first half, but Nicolas Bendtner equalized with a header from a Fabregas free-kick in the middle of the second half. Arsenal were unable to build on the goal, however, and was left to rue two more dropped points at the final whistle.
Next up for Arsene Wenger’s side are leaders Manchester United. If the Gunners are to have any chance at all for league glory they must win at Old Trafford. But Ferguson’s side will be well aware of the consequences if they surrender all three points at home.
With Chelsea also looking to make a push for the title, it means Arsenal's title hopes are slowly diminishing. Frustration could be seen all across Emirates Stadium after the draw against Liverpool, and if Arsenal doesn’t win their five remaining games, more frustration will be seen among Arsene Wenger and his men at the end of the season.

Well its nearly half time in Manchster and it stands, Man City 0-1 Chelsea. Another own goal.
Looks very bleak for Arsenal, unless city finds an equaliser.

This one had all the merits of a league cup tie for me. Arsenal throwing their last chance of the title down the toilet.

There was really no intent from Arsenal to go on for Title...to gain something risks should be taken..Adebayor,Hleb should have started..The should have been strongest possible.

I would have thought so now. It would take a lot of mis-fires from Manchester United and Chelsea to hand Arsenal the title. I'm begining to think it all depends on the next Liverpool-Arsenal Encounter. If Arsenal win, the premiership is forgotten. If they lose, and results in the league go their way (unlikely) they'll go for the league.

After Today's Result. Arsenal's chances of winning the EPL are gone... 5pts adrift to UTD ( who have a game in hand)... Regarding the champions league I think liverpool are going to qualify for the semis.. Even Chelsea Havent Been playing well. that is the 2nd game in a row that they barely win.. Utd on the other hand cant seem to stop finding the back of the net..

arsenal are kaput! next week it's a case of damned if they do damned if they don't. if they beat man u they do chelsea a huge favour and the control for the title returns back into chelsea's hands. if arsenal lose, it means nobody can stop man u. either way, arsenal's season is finished, barring freak results. gunners can take consolation from the fact that they will after all play a big role in deciding who wins this season's title - even if it is a team other than themselves. they blew it when they were way ahead. 8 pts from 7 matches. ridiculous! typically arsenal. and look at chelsea, after all those injuries that would have blown any other team away, still very much in the mix, even if well off the pace in terms of form. but that's the credit of chelsea. they do just enough, consistently. a month and a half ago, 8 pts behind arsenal. today, 3 ahead... a total of 11 pts gained on the gunners. still, it looks like man u all the way.

After United's draw to Boro the title is still a posibility for any of the three title-chasers. United have a difficult run-in starting with a visit from Arsenal next weekend. The EPL is unpredictable and these next couple of weeks will be really interesting.
