With TNA Wrestling’s 11th anniversary show Slammiversary just a month away, the company presents a new episode of Impact Wrestling.

TNA has been on quite the roll lately, and things are certainly going to pick up even more as the big event draws closer. For this episode of Impact Wrestling, the company has confirmed three matches, one of which includes a returning wrestler, as well as developments of the events that closed last week’s show and news on Slammiversary.

Let’s see what TNA Wrestling has in store for the fans this week!

Mickie James and Taryn Terrell vs. Gail Kim and Tara

The Knockouts division has been heating up as of late, and it looks to continue to do so with this tag team match.

Taryn Terrell has been having issues with Gail Kim over the past few months. Each Knockout owns a victory over the other, with Gail defeating Taryn in a tag team match and Taryn winning a singles match. This very well could be the match to end their rivalry.

Mickie James is hot off of a Knockouts Championship match against champion Velvet Sky last week. While she did lose the match, Mickie is back in the title hunt.

Then there is Tara, who seems to be somewhat of a sidekick to Gail these days. Taryn has crossed paths with Tara as a result, but she gets some major help this week.

Which Knockouts team will come out victorious? Could a victory push one or both women up the ladder toward a shot at the TNA Knockouts Championship?

Chris Sabin vs. Sonjay Dutt vs. Zema Ion: X Division Contender’s Match

TNA X Division Championship matches are now contested in Triple Threat matches. Champion Kenny King has survived a number of them so far, defeating the likes of former champions Petey Williams and Zema Ion, as well as division veteran Sonjay Dutt.

With the next title match set for May 23, general manager Hulk Hogan is looking for King’s next two challengers.

His first will be determined by an online vote, with fans given the choice of Rashad Cameron, Rockstar Spud or Suicide to choose from. His second challenger will be determined with this match, featuring the long-awaited TNA return of four-time X Division champion Chris Sabin.

Who will walk out of this match with a spot in the championship match? Could Zema Ion or Sonjay Dutt get themselves back in line, or can Chris Sabin’s return be a triumphant one?

Kurt Angle vs. Aces & Eights: Which Member Will Answer Angle’s Challenge?

Kurt Angle has had his share of problems with the Aces & Eights. While the gang led by TNA World Heavyweight champion Bully Ray has attacked many on the TNA roster, the Olympic gold medalist has been one of their main targets.

Whether the 12-time World champion was getting attacked backstage, beaten down in the middle of the ring or stabbed in the back by two young wrestlers who turned out to be members, Kurt Angle has been knocked down more than any other wrestler on the roster.

The man the color commentators call “The Cyborg” just won’t stay down, though.

This week on Impact Wrestling, Angle will be issuing an open challenge to the Aces & Eights, and it doesn’t matter to him which member accepts.

Which member of the Aces & Eights will answer Kurt Angle’s challenge? Will that member be victorious, or can Angle gain some much-needed momentum for himself and the TNA army?

The Icon Returns: What’s Next in the War Against the Aces & Eights?

Late last year, Sting was trying to convince general manager Hulk Hogan to trust Bully Ray. The Icon felt that TNA needed a big bully in the fight against the Aces & Eights, and Bully Ray fit the role perfectly.

Hogan reluctantly signed off, but he began to trust Bully more and more as time went by. Bully Ray developed a relationship with Hogan's daughter, Brooke, and that led to her having a protector and a husband. Now his son-in-law, Bully Ray was a member of the Hogan family.

Hogan’s love for his daughter and newfound trust for Bully Ray led to him handing Bully a TNA World Heavyweight Championship match against Jeff Hardy at Lockdown in March. It was there that everything started to go downhill for Hogan.

Not only did Bully Ray reveal himself as the president of the Aces & Eights, but he would also win the top prize in TNA, the World Heavyweight Championship. Hogan put the blame on Sting, who got him to trust Bully in the first place. That led to the Icon walking out of TNA a few weeks ago, which left the TNA army without a leader.

Last week, Sting made his return to save Hogan from the Aces & Eights. After clearing the ring of the gang, though, Sting signified with the pointing of his bat that his issues with Hogan were not finished.

Can Sting and Hulk Hogan make amends? Will Sting resume control of the TNA army? Will the Aces & Eights take advantage of the heat between the two legends?

11 Years Strong: What’s on Tap for Slammiversary?

On June 19, 2002, TNA Wrestling held their first event under the banner of the National Wrestling Alliance. From the fairgrounds in Tennessee and a sound stage in Universal Studios to arenas throughout the United States, TNA has not only become their own company without the NWA but has also grown quite a bit since then.

On June 2 of this year, TNA will be celebrating their 11th anniversary with the event Slammiversary. With the show a month away, the annual event will certainly start to take shape this week.

The focal point of the event will no doubt be the war between TNA and the Aces & Eights, with their leader and World champion Bully Ray. The TNA World Heavyweight Championship has been defended every year at the event, with the exception being when the company had control of the NWA World Heavyweight Championship, so expect the main event to be booked very soon.

Who will end up facing Bully Ray for the title? Could Hulk Hogan give him the ultimate test by making him compete in a returning King of the Mountain match?

TNA has five other championships, though one of them hasn’t been seen in quite some time. At the very least, the X Division, World Tag Team and Knockouts Championships will certainly be on the line. Who will get the title shots, though?

The buildup to Slammiversary should be quite exciting!

TNA Slammiversary is drawing near, and TNA Wrestling looks to build the event strong, starting with this episode. How will the build to the event go? Tune in to find out!
